Healthy Aboriginal Network creates comic books for youth on health and social issues

Drawing Hope is a collection of five comics, based on stories told by members of the Whitecrow Village community. The stories are about struggling in school, the importance of friendships and receiving support from friends and family.

Drawing Hope is just one of the comic books available from The Healthy Aboriginal Network (HAN). They also have other comics created for youth on topics ranging from smoking prevention to suicide awareness to diabetes awareness. HAN has been using YouTube to test their story outlines and concepts with online focus groups (both youth and professionals) and to collect their feedback (see one example below)
