Public Health Agency of Canada training opportunities in Langley and Nanaimo, BC

Anne Guarasci and Barb Durban from the College of New Caledonia will be facilitating two training sessions as part of the PHAC FASD Training/Networking Initiative this March. There is no registration fee and lunch is included.

The sessions are intended to provide service providers who work with families with tools to increase their effectiveness. Some of the areas to be covered include recognizing how FASD behaviours and characteristics present in families where parents have the cognitive and behavioural effects of FASD, learning to adapt communication and listening skills, and ways of providing advocacy and support.
