Social marketing campaign focuses on young women and men

The Calgary Fetal Alcohol Network (CFAN) and the Calgary Health Region (CHR) have developed a campaign for the Calgary area about friends helping friends to avoid alcohol when pregnant.

The campaign evolved out of The Circle of Friends project which targeted 16 to 24 year olds.

Key messages in the campaign include Friends helping friends, No alcohol is best when pregnant, and Friends caring for pregnant friends. These materials and other Government of Alberta FASD prevention materials can be obtained free of charge from Children and Youth Services.
